Window Project

The goals of the Window Project are to raise public art awareness, involve
the Omaha community with the Bemis Center and raise funds to support
artistic programs at the Bemis.

The Window Project theme "Omaha: The Next 150 Years" celebrates the
city's 150th anniversary in 2004. Over 1,000 community members including
local residents, artists, business and individual sponsors made the project
a rousing success.

Each mural was painted by local "participainters" including people of all ages,
students, mentor organizations, senior citizen groups, corporate groups, and
community center groups. "Participainters" were assisted in their work by
Artist Facilitators who coordinated and guided the actual completion of the work.
